I purchased this and the Kleva plastic bag sealer instead of paying $20 in postage for the purchase.of the Kleva Safety Slicer. The safety slicer was $78. Postage was free for orders over $100 so mightvas well pay for extra items instead of paying for postage.
Anyway, like all silicone cooking utensils, you don't overheat the utensil by prolonging the device to the heated surface of the pan. Despite silicone being a heat resistant material, the silicone material will deteriorate if heat is prolonged on a section of the utensil in one spot.
I purchased the utensil for use on non-stick surfaces such as frypans and air fryers.
Using metal food turners on non-stick surfaces may scratch and/or damage the frypan's non-stick surface resulting in the frypan losing its non-stick ability.
Hence this silicone utensil is great for turning hot food withiut damaging the oan's non-stick surface.
