How to Suction Mount and Adjust Height Position?

To suction the mounting bracket, place the it on your dashboard or front windscreen and push down on the locking lever.
To adjust the length of the Mounting Bracket neck, turn the locking dial anti-clockwise to loosen, then pull up or down to adjust to your desired length. Once you've achieved your desired view, turn clockwise to lock.
To adjust the height of the Mounting Bracket, turn the dial closest to the suction base anti-clockwise. Move it up and down to reach your desired height. Once chosen, turn clockwise to lock it in place.

How to Connect an Apple iPhone to CarPlay Using Bluetooth?

On your Smartplay™, go to phone link, and under iPhone settings, ensure that Auto Connect is set to CarPlay.
Press the Phone App Icon on the SmartPlay™, which is labeled Bluetooth. Then select "Pair," which is the 4th option at the bottom of the screen. Open settings on your iPhone and select Bluetooth. On your iPhone screen, under devices, select SWL-BT and follow the pairing process. Your CarPlay setting is now configured.

How to Connect an Android to AutoPlay Using Bluetooth?

On your Smartplay™, go to phone link, and under Android settings, ensure that Auto Connect is set to Auto.
Press the Phone App Icon on the SmartPlay™, which is labelled Bluetooth. Then select "Pair," which is the 4th option at the bottom of the screen. Open settings on your Android and select Bluetooth. On your Android screen, under devices, select SWL-BT and follow the pairing process by entering the pin code found on the SmartPlay™ device, then follow on with the privacy process. Your AutoPlay setting is now configured.

How to Connect an Apple iPhone to CarPlay Using Your Power Cable?

On your Smartplay™, go to phone link, and under iPhone settings, ensure that Auto Connect is set to CarPlay.
Simply connect the lightning USB power cable into the left-hand side of the SmartPlay™ screen and the other end into your iPhone. From there, it will automatically enter the CarPlay interface.

How to Mirror Your iPhone Using Your Power Cable?

On your Smartplay™, go to phone link, and under iPhone settings, ensure that the drop-down for Auto Connect is set to Mirror.
Simply connect the lightning USB power cable into the left-hand side of the SmartPlay™ screen and the other end into your iPhone. A safety precaution message will appear asking if you trust the connecting device. If you accept, this will trigger the mirror acceptance.

How do I use a wired connection to connect to Apple CarPlay, and is the cable provided in the set?

No, a cable is not provided in the set. You must use your own Lightning USB power cable. To use a wired connection, simply connect the USB power cable into the left-hand side of the SmartPlay screen and the other end of the cord into your mobile device, and then it will automatically enter the CarPlay interface.

Do I need a smartphone to operate the SmartPlay?

Yes, the SmartPlay is only compatible with smartphones.

Does the SmartPlay have built-in speakers?

Yes, the SmartPlay is designed with built-in speakers, so if your internal speakers are not working in your car, the SmartPlay will be able to distribute the sound.

Are you able to use multiple apps/features at a time?

Yes, you are able to use multiple apps at a time depending on which apps you are wanting to use. For example, you can have your maps app running at the same time as listening to music through your preferred music app.

What apps are compatible with SmartPlay?

The apps compatible with SmartPlay include Podcast/Overcast, Spotify/Apple Music, WhatsApp, Audiobooks/Audible/Read, and Radio app.

Do I need my own GPS/internet to use maps?

Yes, internet and GPS are required for the maps function to be used.

Is internet required for the apps to function?

Depending on which apps you intend to use, internet is not always required. Some apps allow you to pre-download and save songs, audiobooks, and podcasts when you are within range of Wi-Fi/mobile data, which then allows you to use the app when no internet is present.

Does it require reception to operate?

No, the unit does not require reception for the SmartPlay to operate. However, it means that only limited functions will be available, which would include pre-downloaded podcasts, music, and audiobooks. If your mobile phone does not show any reception, that means you will be unable to make any calls, messages, and listen/use apps that require internet.

Is it AUX compatible?

No, the SmartPlay does not include an inbuilt AUX cord function. However, if you are trying to connect your mobile device to play music, you can do so using a wired/wireless connection.

Can I receive text messages/ calls while I am driving?

You can receive text messages through the SmartPlay if you have connected it to your mobile phone. This function allows you to make hands-free replies/call answering by using voice commands.

How to use the remote control?

The remote control requires 2x AAA batteries to be inserted (batteries are not included). Once batteries have been inserted, you can control the sound, type a phone number, control the power, and more.

Does it have to be plugged into a cigarette lighter?

Yes, in order for the unit to be powered, it needs to be plugged into your car's cigarette lighter compartment.
